Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using puritanizer.com (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by SaaSquatch Ltd.

2. The Service

Puritanizer is an AI-powered novelty image editing tool. You upload a photo of a person, and the Service returns a version with an unreasonably modest outfit painted directly onto the subject (chosen from one of 350 pre-defined garments across 10 categories). The subject's face is intentionally preserved. Quality of output depends on third-party AI providers and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, flattering, or suitable for any particular purpose. Always review output before sharing it.

3. Free tier and accounts

Unauthenticated users are entitled to 2 free puritanizations per 24-hour period. Usage is tracked via browser local storage. Attempts to circumvent this limit (e.g. clearing storage, using multiple browsers) are not prohibited but may be rate-limited at the IP level.

Registered users with credit balances are charged 1 credit per puritanization. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

4. Credits and the “never expire” promise

Credits purchased through our pricing page do not expire. Each credit entitles you to one watermark-free puritanization at full resolution, redeemable whenever you like. However:

“Never expire” refers to the lifetime of the Service, not the lifetime of the customer. If we discontinue, sell, or materially change the Service, any unused credits become void. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any such shutdown via email (for registered users) and on-site notice, but no refund is owed once credits have been delivered. By purchasing credits you explicitly acknowledge this.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• Upload images that infringe copyright or the rights of others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
• Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission
• Bypass rate limits through automation or multiple accounts

6. Prohibited content

Puritanizer is a novelty tool for painting silly outfits onto photos. It is not a content moderation bypass, and it is not a tool for generating explicit imagery. You must not upload:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
• Non-consensual intimate imagery (e.g. “revenge porn”)
• Explicit sexual content
• Images depicting violence, self-harm, or illegal activity

Our AI automatically refuses to process content it detects as unsafe. Repeated attempts to upload prohibited content may result in your access being blocked, and the most serious cases will be reported to the appropriate authorities — including NCMEC for any CSAM.

7. AI output disclaimer

AI-generated edits may not always paint a complete outfit, may produce unexpected results, may distort parts of the image, or may decline to process an upload entirely. The Service is provided “as is” with no warranty of any particular result. You are responsible for reviewing output before using or sharing it in any context. Do not use puritanized output to misrepresent real people or events.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SaaSquatch Ltd's total liability arising from your use of the Service is capped at the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £20, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@puritanizer.com.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
